The information on Lithium-ion batteries has been published on the METI website.
The information on Lithium-ion batteries, which will be covered by the Electrical
Appliance and Material Safety Law as Category B product (not Specified Category
A products) on and after November 21 2008, has been published on the English website
of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI).

"JET gave presentation on Japanese certification system
at Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai"
JET, as speaker, took part in Intertek's seminar "Asia Pacific Intra-regional
Trade: Consumer Electronics and Electrical Industry" on May 14, 16 and 18,
respectively at Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shanghai.
JET, Korean KETI, Singaporean SPRING, an Australian consultant and a Saudi
Arabian expert made presentation on the latest situation of certification system
of each country for seminar participants, mainly Chinese manufacturers.
On each venue, JET's presentation "On the export of electrical appliances
to Japan", covering PSE and S-mark systems, cooperation between Intertek
and JET, and the latest recall cases of electrical appliances in Japan, interested
the audience much.
