Regarding Rates & Fee Revision (October 16, 2026)

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued understanding and cooperation regarding our business activities, as well as for your patronage of our various services.

While the Consumer Price Index is projected to rise by approximately 11.2% between fiscal years 2020 and 2025, we have endeavored to minimize the impact and curb expenses by implementing measures such as improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.

Although we implemented a 2% rate adjustment starting with applications received in fiscal year 2024, we anticipate that prices will continue to rise; consequently, we have determined that our efforts to date are insufficient to maintain current service levels.

Amidst significant changes in the domestic and global socio-economic landscape, we are actively engaged in securing and developing human resources, maintaining and upgrading testing facilities, responding swiftly to international standards, and driving operational and business transformation through digital transformation (DX). Against this backdrop, and to maintain the quality and reliability of our testing and certification services while enhancing customer service, we find it necessary to revise the fees for our testing, certification, and related services.

Notice:

Revision Date	Applicable to applications received on or after April 1, 2027.
Scope	Fees for testing, certification, and related services in fields such as electrical equipment, distributed power systems, medical devices, and management system certification (excluding certification registration fees, certification maintenance fees, and label fees).
Overview of Revisions	A price increase of approximately 5% over current rates. A fee will now be charged for issuing the original PSE conformity certificate. However, a new set price has been established for simultaneous applications for both the original and a copy, and the issuance fee for the copy will be discounted. Original: 25,000 yen (15,000 yen if the testing fee is 200,000 yen or less). A fixed set price: When issuing the original and copies simultaneously: fee for the original + (number of copies × 10,000 yen) Regarding medical device certification: Introduction of fees for specific administrative procedures that were previously free of charge, and revision of fees for minor modifications. Introduction of fees (covering actual costs) for specific tasks such as test preparation.
