About ECHONET Lite Certification

 ECHONET Lite Certification is a product certification according to ECHONET Lite Specification, which is a communication protocol standard issued by ECHONET CONSORTIUM.

About AIF Certification

 AIF Certification is a product certification according to AIF Specification, which is issued by ECHONET CONSORTIUM and defines communication interface between HEMS (Home Energy Management System) controllers and designated electrical equipment (Low-/High-voltage Smart Electric Energy Meters, Home Air Conditioner, Lighting, Fuel Cells, Instantaneous Water Heaters, Household Solar Power Generations, Heat Pump Water Heaters, Storage Batteries, Electric Vehicle Chargers/Dischargers, Package-type Commercial Air Conditioner, Commercial Showcase, Lighting system).

In case of parallel application for the AIF Certification (excluding “SMA apparatus” i.e. Low-/High-voltage Smart Electric Energy Meter or its opponent (H)EMS controller) and the ECHONET Lite Certification

In case of parallel application for the AIF Certification (of SMA apparatus) and the ECHONET Lite Certification

※ Following 2 flows are also applicable other than the above two cases. ①Serial application, one after another, ②Separate application to differentiate the testing body from the certification body.

AIF Certification must be issued via conformance test result conducted by third party testing body approved by ECHONET CONSORTIUM. In case of SMA apparatus, the conformance test is also needed to obtain the ECHONET Lite Certification.
JET is an approved testing body to conduct conformance tests for all of designated products for AIF/ECHONET Lite Certification.
