Articles 1 and Article 2 of Technical Requirements in the Ministerial Ordinance
of the Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law specify the requirements for
components and materials that undergo repeated testing, and by registering the
test results, they can be utilized to the maximum degree at the time of product
testing. Accordingly, by selecting registered components, assembling manufacturers
can save testing time and costs, while component manufacturers can emphasize the
benefits when marketing to assembling manufacturers. When certifying components,
they are utilized for the JET internal conformity assessment and
inspection, and registered products at the Council for Electrical & Electronic
Components and Materials of Japan ( hereinafter referred to as CMJ ) can be utilized
by other domestic institutions, offering the benefit of a broad scope of applications.
(In accordance with the intentions of the applicant, JET coordinates with other
testing institutions, and a registered component can be given CMJ registration
status upon approval from CMJ.)
